Setting up instalments

When setting up a Membership Category, Course, Class or Optional Extra, there is the option to Allow members to pay by instalments.  When selecting this option, you can set the number of payments members can spread the cost over and the frequency of the payment collection, for example, monthly.

There's an option to charge a premium for members to pay by instalments.  This can help cover additional transaction costs if members opt to pay via PayPal.

Each time an instalment is due, the system will generate a payment request and collect payment.  

When the total amount due cannot be equally be divided by the number of instalment payments, for example, £100 spread over 3 instalments, the last instalment request will be adjusted so the exact correct amount will be collected.  So for example 2 payments of 33.34 plus one payment of 33.32.
