Adding People to Events

In the same way as you can add or copy people in to groups and categories, you can add and copy people to Events.  

Follow the steps below to add a person to an Event.

Adding existing members to an Event

Find the member(s) you want to add to an Event by going to your master membership list (or via any of the groups or categories the member is in), click on the tick box next to their name(s) and select 'Copy member to new destination'.  Find the Event or Category you want to add them to and click on OK.

If there is a cost for the Event or Category, the system will ask if you want to generate a payment request.  Click here for information on generating a payment request.

If the person has already paid offline for the event, you will still need to generate a payment request but remember to turn off the payment request email.  After generating the payment request you can record they have paid by going to Financials > Record offline payments.  For information on recording offline payments, click here.

After adding the person to an event, you may need to record information on the database for that person for that event.  To do this, go to Members > Click on the Event / Category name and then click on the name of the person you want to enter the details for.  In the page that loads will be the fields related to that Event / Category.  Enter the information there and Save.

 

Adding non-members to an Event

Go to Members > Click on the Event or Category you want to add them to.

From the tool bar, select Add Person.  From the screen that loads, select Non-members from the Member Status drop down and enter their information and Save.

If there is a cost to the event, the system will ask you if you want to generate a payment request.  Click here for information on generating a payment request.

If the person has already paid for the event, you can record they have paid by going to Financials > Record offline payments.  For information on recording offline payments, click here.

All non-members on the system will be highlighted in Red and will not appear in your master membership list.
